We are currently looking to expand our instructor base during the daytime hours - working primarily with special education schools and other organizations. Instructors will have the opportunity to teach one or more recreational music classes (60 minutes per class) for up to 12 students with developmental and physical disabilities, ages 5 to 21 years of age. Each class will include support staff provided by the school or organization to assist in the classroom as needed. All classes are recreationally based with a focus on promoting confidence, well-being and joy. Class offerings include Recreational Music & Movement, Drumming & Percussion, DJ & Dance and Rhythms Around the World, to name a few.
This unique opportunity is ideal for those instructors who are interested in flexibility. Applicants should be in the music therapy or special education field (with a proficiency in music) and have experience working with individuals with developmental and/or physical disabilities. Available shifts are from 10:30AM to 12:30PM, any day of the week from Monday through Friday. We are looking for instructors to commit availability to teach one or more days. The scheduling cycle is typically 2 weeks out, so instructors will be notified 2 weeks in advance if they have a class scheduled. If you are interested in learning more, please contact or send a resume to Ken Trush at firstname.lastname@example.org.
